Jacobean Style Oak Pedestal

Jacobean Style Oak Pedestal

Jacobean Style Oak Pedestal

A well made 1920's copy of a Jacobean pedestal desk made by G T Rackstraw, Worcester, England. (The original label located beneath the top).

This is a top quality, distressed oak desk constructed in the seventeen century style, measures 60 inches wide. It is fitted with 7 drawers all with mitre cushion moulded faced with walnut veneers and brass pear drop handles. The drawers are all oak lined and each fitted with a lock.

It still has it's original brown hide writing surface. This, as you would expect, has some signs of age and a water mark. A new hide writing surface in any colour can be fitted if you prefer.

As a pedestal desk it is constructed in 3 sections for ease of installation; top and 2 pedestals.

The desk has paneled sides and back with a pegged framework construction in the traditional manner. It stands on 8 bun feet.

Dimensions:
Length: 60” 153 cm
Width: 30” 76 cm
Height to writing surface: 30½” 77cm
Height to top of knee hole: 22” 57 cm
