Antique Desk Chair: William 1V Mahogany Open Armchair Ref:SN393 |
This good quality open armchair has a curved back panel, below which are curved brackets in the classical style.
The arms are particularly attractive with exaggerated scroll. The chair stands on turned and octagonal front legs and swept back legs and supports.
It is in excellent condition and has a fine reddish brown mahogany patina. The drop in seat has recently been re-upholstered in chestnut coloured hide.
This is an lovely example of a chair from this period. It is a compact size and comfortable to sit in.
