A good quality antique mahogany desk chair or library chair from the 1870's, recently upholstered in a deep chestnut coloured hide and benefitting from revival of the polish.

This very comfortable and capacious antique chair has a deep padded sprung seat with a serpentine front rail. It has a horseshoe shaped padded and buttoned back, supported by carved brackets and end caps to the arms.

The chair stands on four nicely shaped mahogany turned and reeded legs legs with brass castors.

This is a very handsome, comfortable chair large which would suitably grace any traditional office, library or study. It has a few knocks and bumps commensurate with many years of use and a lovely patina.

Good quality antique desk chair such as this are very sought after and are difficult to find in such good condition.
