A very good quality antique desk or library chair from the mid 19th century which has rencently benefited from polish revival and reupholsting in a chestnut hide.
The chair has a horseshoe shaped padded and buttoned back supported by carved brackets and caps to the arms.
It has avery comfortable sprung and padded seat with a serpentine front rail and studs on turned and reeded front legs with original brass and white ceramic castors.
This is a very fine and comfortable antique desk chair which be a very good match for an antique desk or as a library chair. It has a few knocks and bumps which one would expect through many years of use and has developed a beautiful patina an original antique chair.
