Antique Furniture Glossary

Our antique desk chairs and antique library chairs are all genuine antiques not reproductions. We carefully choose antique chairs and library chairs for their quality, design and serviceability. They are either in good original condition or sympathetically restored by our professionals and ready to grace your home or office.

We stock antique chairs in most sizes and from most English periods: Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian. We have chairs made from Walnut, mahogany, oak, and fruit woods in a variety of styles. Where we have reupholstered a chair we always choose top quality hide leather and a colour that is in keeping with the chairs age and style.

If you have an antique desk or antique writing table an antique desk chair or library chair would make the ideal pairing. Choosing a chair in the right period for your other furniture or in a similar wood or similar style is also worth considering. A beautiful well made antique chair will give your office an elegant, well planned and more harmonious feel.
