Antique William 1V Mahogany Armchair

This good quality antique open armchair has a curved back panel, below which are curved brackets in the classical style. The arms are particularly attractive with an exaggerated scroll. The chair stands on turned, octagonal front legs and swept back legs. It is a compact size and comfortable to sit in.This antique chair is in excellent condition, having had the original polish revived, and has a fine reddish brown mahogany patina. The drop in seat has recently been re-upholstered in chestnut coloured hide.

This is an good example of a chair from this period of the early 19th century.
