This
Stylish and capacious antique armchair chair features very fine carved
detail of draped, tasseled, fabric over the five swept slats of the
back rail. The arms are well carved with cabriole supports which balance
the front legs perfectly. All four feet are pad shape and the rear
legs swept out slightly.
It has
recently been re polished which enhances its beautiful deep reddish
brown patina, and has been fitted with a new chestnut coloured hide
to the drop in seat.
This is a very comfortable, substantial and heavyweight chair made
from the best quality timbers and is in excellent condition with no
repairs.
It would
look perfect in a library or period style office as well as a more
contemporary setting, adding style and quality to any room.
