A large and superior quality Victorian partners desk with brown leather
writing surface with gilt tooling. It's impressive size ,rich mahogany
colour and paneled construction gives this desk considerable presence.
A truly stunning piece of antique office furniture which has recently
been restored.
The desk is made in three sections with 4 drawers to either side of
the top. The pedestals each have three drawers and a cupboard with
shelf to the reverse, and stand on a plinth bases with castors.
The drawers have moulded fronts and the original swan neck handles.They
are of dovetail construction with mahogany and pine linings.
The pedestals are of frame construction with raised fielded panels
to the exterior of the desk.The arrangement of 4 drawers to either
side of the top is not a common feature in this type of desk.
