This is a most attractive early 20th century mahogany kidney shaped desk has beautiful figured mahogany veneers on sides and throughout the drawer fronts.

It has a very attractive 'old gold' leather writing surface, with gilt and blind tooling, surrounded by a 2 inch band of well figured mahogany and a bull nose moulded edge.

The drawers are all cock beaded, mahogany lined and of dovetail construction. The decorative brass handles are original and the desk has working locks and keys. The two pedestals have three drawers in each and the separate writing top also has three drawers.

It stands on attractive short Satyr legs with hoof feet.

This English desk is of tremendous quality with fabulous figured veneers. It has been polished al round and is designed to be free standing in a room.

Condition : The desk is in excellent condition, the polish has been revived and benefits from a new writing leather.
