A large
Victorian oak partners desk with well figured timbers and a rich golden
brown colour.
The top
is fitted with a good quality antique finish writing hide in deep
red, decorated with blind and gold tooling. It has a 3 inch boarder
of oak with a bull nose moulded edge.
The pedestals
are fitted with 3 lockable drawers to one side and a cupboard to the
reverse. The cupboards have paneled doors and a central shelf.
The drawers
are mahogany lined with hand cut dovetails, brass locks and turned
oak knob pulls.
The pedestals
are fitted with plinth bases with hidden castors for ease of movement.
This
desk can be arranged with a set of drawers and a cupboard on each
side or drawers to one side and cupboards to reverse.
As with
all pedestal desks it comes in three sections for ease of installation.
