A very attractive small antique mahogany writing
table or side table from the cabinet makers 'Holland and Sons'. Holland
and Sons, located in Mount Street London, were commissioned to supply
furniture to various Royal Households including Windsor Castle and
as such were makers of the highest quality furniture.
There is a stamp mark to the top of the drawers 'Holland & Sons'. 
The table is made from well figured mahogany timbers
and has a tall raised back with shaped sides. The top is polished
beneath which is a single mahogany drawer with turned knobs.
This lovely small antique table has four well turned
legs with the original brass socket castors. It is a very useful size
for a small desk perhaps in an alcove or a side table for sofas or
even a bedroom. The high back offers an ideal support for books.
