12 Foot William 1V Conference or Boardroom table, c1840
This
is an impressive and imposing antique solid mahogany table of immense
proportions measuring 144” by 60”, in excellent original
condition.
The
table was made from the best quality timber available at the time
and has a solid top made from three huge planks. The edge has a thumb
and bull nose moulding's with rounded corners. To the frieze below
are fitted eight cock beaded drawers to each side of the length and
one central drawer at the ends flanked by dummy drawers to both sides.
The
drawers have well figured mahogany fronts, the original knobs, mahogany
linings and are of dovetail construction. Each drawer is fitted with
a lock. This immense table stands on four turned and octagonal shaped
legs. It is a very attractive rich mahogany colour.
It
is incredibly rare to find a table of this size and quality. Large

it a very versatile. It could be used as in the dining room, boardroom
