Antique Tables: Early Victorian Rosewood Library Table circa 1840
A beautiful antique rosewood library or writing table fitted with a deep red leather writing surface with gilt tooling. This is surrounded by cross banded rosewood and bull nose moulding.This antique table has a long mahogany lined drawer fitted to the frieze which has ornate carved acanthus brackets to either end. The reverse matches the drawer from side to give a balanced appearance. The table stands on on bulbous end supports with swept carved cabriole legs and original concealed brass castors.
