Antique Tables: Victorian Mahogany Library or Partners Writing Table c1870

An absolutely top quality antique writing table made from solid mahogany. It has a tan hide writing surface with gilt and ebony tooling which is bordered with a band of figured mahogany with a carved egg and tongue border. There are two drawers fitted to either side of the length with chamfered fronts and ornate handles.

The table has substantial turned, carved and reeded legs with brass cup castors. This substantial antique writing table has an attractive patina and lovely figuring in the timbers. It has an excellent country house feel would grace any library or office.
