This is a beautifully crafted antique oak partners
library table made from the best quarter cut timbers has ornate carved
corners and legs and a tan leather writing hide surface. It is a truly
exceptional library table of outstanding quality.
The table top has a light tan leather writing surface
with blind and gilt tooling. It has boarder of burr oak with a bull
nose edge with three oak lined drawers fitted to each side.
The drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetails,
moulded edges, brass locks and escutcheons and finished with ebonised
draw pulls.
At each of the four corners of the table are carved four very attractive
floral designs. Below is an oak leaf carved moulding running around
the entire edge of the table. The ends of the table are of panelled
construction.
The table stands on four well-turned legs with the original good quality
heavy brass castors.
