A very attractive mid 19th century antique rosewood
library table with a well figured highly polished writing surface.
This is a very good quality library table of elegant
proportions with excellent colour and patina.
The top has a thumb molded edge with rounded corners
below which are fitted two drawers to the front. These are mahogany
lined with hand cut dovetail joints and are opened by using hand recesses
hidden below the drawer fronts.
The drawers have lovely carved scrolling leaf moldings
which is matched on the reverse side.
The table is finished all round and designed to be used
as a free standing piece of furniture.
The table stands on carved bulbous end supports with
cabriole legs, scroll feet and the original hidden castors.
