Before purchasing from us we advise
you to read our conditions below. By entering into a purchasing
agreement with us at 'Burrell's Antique Desks' it is given that
you have read and agreed to the terms and conditions below.
Customer Satisfaction
We want you to be delighted with your purchase so it is
our policy to ensure that you have all the information you need
to feel confident about buying from us. Items are purchased as seen
on the photographs and you can also view in person at our warehouse
or we can bring the furniture to you on a try
before you buy option.
Condition of Goods:
We only sell Genuine Antique Furniture We do not sell reproductions
or re-constructed furniture made from cannibalised pieces from other
antiques or salvaged materials.
Genuine antique furniture will,
by its very nature, have marks and some wear and tear evident after
many years use. We endeavor to point out any obvious marks, wear
or damage and inform you when we have professionally restored the
item.
We do french polish our desks,
replace leather writing surfaces if needed and clean and restore
to improve the condition and appearance of our furniture. Our
restoration is intended to return each piece to good condition
so that it is ready to grace your home or office.
We will send you more detailed photographs
of the item you are interested in and answer any questions you might
have.
Insurance Cover
During Shipping:
We always recommend that insurance is
taken out with the shipping company (to cover the full purchase
price and shipping costs) in the event of damage or loss during
transit.
Please check your policy to ensure it covers all eventualities.
If a claim needs to be made because of loss or damage during transit
this will be the customers responsibility so please keep all paperwork
related to you shipping or delivery.
You may of course choose to use your own insurance policy but please
let us know at the time of payment.
If you decide not to take up the insurance offered by the delivery
or shipping company we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage
to you item whilst in transit.
Returns Policy for UK Customers:
We are confident that you will be happy with your
antique furniture from us, but in the unlikely event you are not
happy you can return it to us. Please contact us as soon as you
have any concerns so that we can discuss it and decide how to resolve
the matter with you.
If the reason for return is due to our description
being at fault in any way we will off course accept the piece back
when we have established the problem with you.
If the reason for return is because you have changed
your mind for any reason we will accept the piece back within 7
days of you receiving the piece. In this instance the customer will
be responsible for paying for the return of the item back to us.
Unfortunately only customers in the UK and the EU
are covered by our returns policy.
World Wide Customers:
We do our very best to ensure that world wide customers
have as much information as they need to make a confident decision
on purchasing any of our items but because of the cost of world
shipping we are unable to accept returned furniture.
